Compressed Feelings: emotions that flow through us, enveloping the space we have occupied in l'Escaut and its surroundings, and where Lennon and Van Schaik’s installation unfolds. It also refers to a mental, imaginary, and dreamlike space where shapes and movements, born from imagination and dreams, take form.
This work marks the culmination of a month-long residency within the walls of L’Escaut. It draws inspiration from an immersion in the surrounding urban fabric, encounters, and research. The starting point for this project is a dialogue with the installation by Jan Van Schaik and Olivia Lennon, created at L’Escaut in May 2024.
